Herausragend und preisgekrönt.

Die vielfach preisgekrönte Berliner Vokal-Band ONAIR ist wahrlich „on air [Adverb – auf Sendung]“. Seit Gründung im Jahr 2013 hat das Sextett im Senkrechtflug alle wichtigen Preise der Vokalszene gewonnen und sich innerhalb kürzester Zeit in die internationale Top-Liga der Vokalformationen gesungen. Musikkritiker, Kollegen und Szenekenner zählen sie zu den besten Vocal-Pop-Bands weltweit. Mit ihrem ersten Bühnenprogramm „Take Off“ setzte ONAIR bereits Maßstäbe für das Genre A Cappella im In- und Ausland. Nun legen die sechs sympathischen Berliner mit ihrer zweiten Show „Illuminate“ fulminant nach.

In „Illuminate“ (engl. für „(er)leuchten“, „anstrahlen“, „ausleuchten“) dreht sich alles um das Thema Licht. Licht fasziniert jeden von uns, und auch in unserer Sprache ist es allgegenwärtig: Wir fühlen uns beglückt durch ein strahlendes Lächeln, sehen etwas in einem neuen Licht, sind Feuer und Flamme oder fürchten uns vor Zwielicht und Verblendung.

In „Illuminate“ verbindet ONAIR herausragende musikalische Eigenkompositionen mit atemberaubenden Vokal-Arrangements bekannter Songs von Künstlern wie Led Zeppelin, Queen, Rammstein, The Foo Fighters oder Hurts. In all ihren Interpretationen schaffen sie es stets, den Stücken eine besondere „onairische“ Note hinzuzufügen. Längst haben sie damit ihren eigenen, unverwechselbaren Stil etabliert. Auch ihre Vokal-Bearbeitungen bekannter deutschsprachiger Songs (u.a. Herbert Grönemeyers „Der Weg“ und Xavier Naidoos „Sie sieht mich nicht“) eröffnen ganz neue, berührende Klangwelten.

Diese spannende Auswahl an Songs setzt ONAIR live durch eine beeindruckende Bühnenshow in Szene. Die Zuschauer tauchen fasziniert ein in tiefes Blau, üppiges Rot, in weiches Gold. Hier ein leises Blinken, dort ein lichtes Kräuseln… Töne funkeln, ein tiefer Beat vibriert. Lichtsplitter fliegen durch den Raum. Zwei Monde gehen auf. Eine silberne Klangwolke schiebt sich davor. Es donnert. Es ist schön. Und zwischen Schimmern und Funkeln, Schatten und Dunkelheit erscheint das kostbare, flüchtige Leuchten des Augenblicks.
